This Privacy Policy explains, in everyday language, what happens to your information when you use the app. In short: there are no accounts, no sign-in, and we try to handle as little of your data as possible. When we say "we," "us," or "our," we mean ChatNova AI Chatbot, the developer of the app. This policy is effective as of 2026-10-29.

The short version

ChatNova turns your everyday questions into conversations. To do that, your messages are sent to our own backend so a reply can be generated and sent back to you. Payments are handled by Apple, and we use a service called Adapty to keep track of subscription status and basic analytics. That's really the whole picture. The rest of this policy fills in the details.

What we don't collect

Because ChatNova has no user accounts, we never ask you to create a profile, choose a username, or sign in. That means we don't ask for your name, email address, phone number, or password. We also never receive your payment card details, because all purchases go through Apple.

What we do handle

When you chat with ChatNova, the text you type (your questions, follow-ups, brainstorming prompts, and whatever thoughts you'd like help putting into words) is sent to our backend so the app can create a response. If you have a subscription, information about its status (for example, whether it's active) is processed so the app knows which features to unlock. Adapty may also process technical and usage information related to subscriptions and app analytics, as described below. A friendly tip: since your messages are what we process, please avoid typing sensitive personal details into the chat that you wouldn't want handled this way.

Where your conversations are processed

Generations, meaning the replies ChatNova writes for you, are processed on our own backend, run by ChatNova AI Chatbot. Your messages go there to be turned into a response, and the response comes back to your device.

The outside services we rely on, and why

We work with two third parties. Apple App Store: this is where you download ChatNova, and Apple handles all purchases and subscriptions through Apple In-App Purchase. Apple processes your payment and manages billing under its own privacy policy. Adapty: when it's used, Adapty helps us track subscription status (so the app knows whether you've subscribed) and provides analytics about subscriptions and purchases. Adapty handles that information under its own privacy terms. We don't sell your information to anyone.

Payments and subscriptions

Every purchase and subscription in ChatNova goes through Apple. Apple takes care of charging you, renewals, and refunds, and we never see your card or bank details. Adapty, when used, tracks whether your subscription is active and gathers related analytics so we can keep things running smoothly and understand how subscriptions are used.

How long we keep things

We keep information only for as long as it's needed to provide the app and its features, or as long as we're required to by law. Information held by Apple or Adapty is kept according to their own retention policies.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to tell you what information we hold that relates to you, and you can ask us to delete it. Because there are no accounts, we may need a little help from you to locate the relevant information, so please include as much detail as you can when you write to us. For anything related to payments or your Apple ID, you can also manage your information directly with Apple. You can stop all future data processing by ChatNova at any time by simply deleting the app.
